A Historical Narrative
The Ash Prisoner
A prison break, a confession, and the birth of a legend that might be true because it had to be.
Saint Cage Penitentiary runs on turbines, schedules, and fear. Eldric "Red" Tane runs on cigarettes and low expectations, until a nameless inmate arrives with burned hands, a broken locket, and a talent for being in the right place at the right hour.
Lights fail and flare. Pipes burst on cue. Men who never prayed find themselves kneeling. Is a saint walking the catwalks, or an engineer with a cause? And if a miracle is built from wire and will, does it count any less when the sky goes white?
Told by the grump who kept the notebooks, The Ash Prisoner is a prison break, a confession, and the birth of a legend that might be true because it had to be.
