Flawless Claimants
They seek a pane that cannot refuse; the Seal House can
Kiln workers, proof brokers and at least one cantor seek the True Pane: Oathglass that would authenticate anything. The Seal House calls this heresy; the Claimants call it liberation.
Codex Ref. XI.7.02-002
Guildmaster Orr Vetch
The mountain sings; the Guildmaster counts
Guildmaster Orr Vetch controls tools, kilns and rosters at Saint-Helm's Cut. A singing mountain earns no concession; the deep-gallery quotas rise.
Codex Ref. III.2.01-201
Maelin Rook
The stamp certifies the glass; the memorandum records its failure
Maelin Rook certifies the sacred glass of Saint-Helm's Cut. Her stamp makes a pane lawful; her sealed memorandum records a pane that threatens the value of every stamp.
Codex Ref. III.2.01-201
Oathglass
The glass breaks the light; the Seal House decides what it proves
Oathglass lets the Church read holiness through a stamped pane. At Saint-Helm's Cut, clarity costs lungs, and the seams answer names the hymn-cards omit.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.22-002
Oathglass Quarrytown, Saint-Helm's Cut
The mountain proves what the Seal House permits
A highland quarrytown built inside a volcanic-glass cleft that the Synod has declared a certified sacred site. The glass proves relics. The workers cough. The mountain, lately, has begun to sing.
Codex Ref. II.2.05-001
Orr Vetch
The Guildmaster counts; the quarry coughs
Orr Vetch holds the tools, kiln time and quotas at Saint-Helm's Cut. Every cure debt returns as another shift; every shift passes through his office.
Codex Ref. III.2.01-201
Pane-Guild
The Guild owns the hours; the mountain disputes the contract
The Pane-Guild controls Saint-Helm's tools, kiln time, quotas and commissary scrip. It calls this quality and safety; the workers must redeem their hunger at the same counter.
Codex Ref. XI.2.05-102
