Constantinople's aerial register lists three Vigil Arks: Saint Barachiel and Saint Gabriel patrol the Bosphorus approaches; Saint Uriel remains grounded. The southern Bellway is uncovered. Every paper is in order.

The calendar gave the sky a patron and the weapon an appropriation
Ratified in A.S. 167 and bound to the Ark's first ascent in A.S. 168, Saint Barachiel's feast supplies lawful witness, counted candles, and the holy protection of a military budget.

Every hand obeyed; the rope did not
At Knife Mile in A.S. 189, Pale Chanter silence made every repairman cut the wrong rope. Reliquary shot fell and detonated; survivors swore the pulley bled. Records preferred oxidation.

Operational Directive 774-C
The Ark remains airborne. Its authority has been harder to locate.
Operational Directive 774-C commissioned the Vigil Ark Saint Barachiel in A.S. 168 to guard the Bosphorus sky. Classified, lost, recovered and ratified retroactively, its authority remains visible above the strait.
